In another fallout from the Elie Wiesel and the Big Lie saga, online payments service provider 2CheckOut.com has joined the ranks of PayPal and StormPal in suspending The Rebel Media Group’s online payment account. We signed up with them as an alternative payment method to bank transfers for our new Rebel Store. Last week we contacted their support department for help with a ‘parameter error’ when submitting payment requests via our Rebel Store. The emails below are what happened next.
Dear Rebel Media Group,
Your account is currently marked inactive for sales because 2Checkout.com does not support donations. Additionally, we cannot support sites that promote Hatred, Racism or Religious Persecution. Some of the content on the site such as "Jews Anonymous" is not supportable.
You will receive a parameter error when attempting to make purchases.Would you like to use the account for something else or would you prefer a refund?
Thank you,

Dear Sir/Madam,
I don't know where you are getting the idea from that the Rebel Media Group promoted "Hatred, Racism or Religious Persecution" when in fact we are fighting exactly against those things. It's just that the recipients of our criticism can't stand being criticed for their crimes and are abusing their influence trying to silence us. Do you really want to be part of this kind of corporate censorship?
Apart from that, the account with your organisation was set up to process payments of the Rebel Store which mainly sells books and T-Shirts with slogans like '9/11 - Bush did it' and 'Apartheid sucks'. Is that racism?
As far as processing donations is concerned, it is made very clear on the checkout screen where buyers get to select a payment method that the 2CheckOut payment method cannot be used for donations. If necessary, we can remove the donations item from the Rebel Store altogether.
Now to 'Jews Anonymous'. If you had read what this project is about, you would know that it is about helping Jews to rid themselves of any sense of supremacy or chosenness, and embrace all of mankind, regardless of nationality, religion, heritage or race. Isn't that a good thing? That point aside, that project has nothing to do with the Rebel Store and - apart from an announcement - hasn't even been launched yet.
In the light of above facts, I appeal to 2Checkout to reverse the suspension of our account and to allow us to use their service to process payments of the Rebel Store that aren't donations. If this appeal is rejected, I ask for my registration payment to be reversed.
Sincerely,
Andrew Winkler The Rebel Media Group
Hello,
Unfortunately, the site is not supportable. Please search for an alternative payment solution.
The account is now closed and your sign up fee is refunded. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to appear on your billing statement.
